From 6^th to 9^th March 2024, four students from our school who are members of our UNESCO/MUN club attended this year’s international KarMUN conference at Karinthy Frigyes Gimnázium in Budapest, Hungary.

On 16^th and 17^th February, Gimnazija Vič joined other schools and colleges across Slovenia in opening our doors to prospective students and their families.

From 29 January to 2 February 2024, students from our second and third years had the pleasure of hosting our peers from the Het Goese Lyceum in the Netherlands. Over the course of four days, we embarked on a joint exploration of Slovenia’s cultural and natural treasures.

It is once again the time of year that the stage of Gimnazija Vič hosts its highly anticipated event, Musicals@Vič. On 17^th and 18th^th January, the annual show was able to fill the hall to the brim.

Through the month of December, more than fifty of our first and second year students took part in the Physics in Advent event, an international science project in which young researchers have to carry out experiments and solve puzzles based around the idea of an Advent calendar.

As we approached the December holidays, a number of different events took place at Gimnazija Vič to make sure that we all managed to get into the festive spirit.

Seven members of our school’s UNESCO/MUN club took part in the biggest MUN (Model United Nations) conference in Slovenia, which was attended by well over two hundred and fifty high school and university students from all over the world. It was held from 1^st to 3^rd December at the Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana.

On the 30^th of November, our school’s Slovene language Literature Club held a literary evening in the National Gallery of Slovenia.

Nine members of our school’s UNESCO/MUN club attended a MUN (Model United Nations) conference, held from 17^th to 19^th November at II. gimnazija Maribor.

This year, students from Gimnazija Vič marked Halloween with a range of events organised by the school’s student council.

Gimnazija Vič hosted its first Model United Nations (MUN) conference since the COVID-19 pandemic on the 29^th and 30^th of September 2023.

Between 25^th and 29^th September 2023, the students and teachers of Gimnazija Vič organised and took part in a number of different projects and activities to mark our traditional celebration of Language Week.

On Thursday, 21^st September 2023, some students of Gimnazija Vič were invited to participate and present their projects at the Cutting Edge conference, which took place at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of Ljubljana. We participated in a special section of the conference called Young Minds, which was a new addition to this year’s conference and was designed to allow students with a passion for science to discuss their research.

On 1^st September, Gimnazija Vič joined other schools across Slovenia in welcoming our students back to the classroom after the summer break.

Before the long summer break begins, all four year groups at Gimnazija Vič have different exams and tests to take as a way of showing their progress across the different subjects studied.
